Latest in Beauty monthly beauty box, based in the UK, has consistently been one of my favourites. Not only can you choose from a list of what you would like in 3, 6, or 9 product boxes, but you can find a lot of full sized and deluxe samples of some seriously awesome brands and products. August’s box theme is “Life’s a Beach.”
For those who aren’t familiar with how Latest In Beauty works each month you get to chose your products plus a “Haul of Fame” product, which is a feature product they keep in full stock all month around. This month was Eyeko London’s Eye Do Eyeliner. I can hear the “Ugh, not another boring black eyeliner.” Not this time! Eyeko replaced my once favourite and discontinued Peter Thomas Roth’s Lashes to Die For Liner. I thought nothing could measure up, but lo and behold I have a new winner and have worn this faithfully even prior to this box. (retail £16)
Everything else I chose are new to me brands and products. My second choice was Sport FX’s Powder + Bronzer Compact Duo in Light. This UK based company has designed makeup for active lifestyles. I thought it would be fun to try this instead of my usual makeup when I take my morning walks or a quick trip to the shop. It’s lightweight coverage with SPF 15. Unfortunately, I wish they had a wider variety of shades because even the light is too dark for me, but I’ll definitely make use of the bronzer. Oh and as a bonus (for me anyways) this has a yummy, subtle hint scent of coconut. (retail £14.99)
I’m a bit of a brush collector, so choosing Unicorn Cosmetics Creme Dream angled brush was a no brainier for me. The vegan bristles are dense, plus it’s perfectly pretty…works great for defining. (retail £11)
This MUA Pro/Base Primer is cool! Literally, it’s cool to the touch…it’s a wonderful kick of refreshment in the morning especially when your feeling tired. I quite like the stick form, it glides on smoothly and surprised me how well it worked with my foundation. (retail £4)
Now for the body, I chose Faith in Nature’s Coconut Body Wash. This is a simple, vegan body wash has a delightful scent that wakes the senses meanwhile leaving your skin feeling lovely and soft. (retail £4) I ordered Blossom Cosmetics Neroli Toning Water, but they had a delivery issue and ended up sending me 2 other Blossom Cosmetics products, Monoi de Tahiti Cream and Ylang Ylang Protecting Hair Oil as a replacement. Hooray! An extra product for me to try! (both deluxe samples)
Another happy month from Latest in Beauty and around £55 worth of a staple and new products to try. The only con I’ve experienced with Latest in Beauty is that they don’t deliver beyond the UK, I’m hoping in time that will change. Anyone else receive Latest in Beauty? What were your picks this month?
